How do I participate?

A:

If you are a non-profit organization located or serves the community in the following 16 Counties (Wake, Durham, Orange, Johnston, Harnett, Lee, Chatham, Person, Granville, Nash, Vance, Franklin, Warren, Halifax, Edgecombe and Wilson County) you are eligible to apply.  Go to the Non-Profit Partners Tab and click on the Apply Now Tab.

What is the criteria for winning the award?

A:

Coastal Credit Union Foundation along with Triangle-based businesses are partnering together to create a collaborative funding forum called "The Power of Sharing". The goal is to recognize the tremendous impact our local non-profits are making throughout the community with a financial award that will assist selected nonprofits in their efforts.

Award recipients will be chosen after careful consideration of their application for submission. A panel comprised of representatives from the Foundation and local business partners will review each application to determine if the project they hope to fund meets one of the criteria – education or the project itself helps the financially vulnerable? Two finalists for each category will be chosen and recognized during The Power of Sharing Gala at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley on May 24th

All award winners will be honored during this event and a final winner will be awarded with a substantial gift.
